Zach Johnson’s hilarious mistake on the 13th tee during the Masters is a must see

Zach Johnson was saved by the new rules of golf. Rule 6.2b 5 to be exact.

On the 13th hole, Johnson stood over his ball after teeing it up and took a step back for his usual practice routine. When he took his club back and came through he accidentally hit the ball and it ricocheted off the tee marker and went about five feet.

Johnson took a step back and looked at Matt Kuchar and Ian Poulter and said, “What happens now?”

Both Poulter and Kuchar said that it was unintentional and Johnson was obviously embarrassed by the mistake, but it happens.

“I mean y’all can laugh, that’s embarrassing.”

Because there was no intent to hit the ball, Johnson is allowed to re-tee and try again. He walked away with a birdie.

I have never seen that at Augusta from a Masters champion.

WOW!
