Want To Caddie For a PGA Tour Pro? Here’s Your Chance

Ever watch the PGA Tour on TV and think, “I could be a caddie”? Well, if you are a kid or college player in the Quad Cities area, or in town for this week’s John Deere Classic, you might just get to find out.

Steven Bowditch is in the field this week for the John Deere and for whatever reason, doesn’t have a caddie. Looking to remedy that, he took to Twitter to try and find one and give a lucky kid an opportunity of a lifetime.

As with anything on Twitter these days, some of the responses were pretty entertaining.

Sure, Bowditch has struggled on Tour over the past few years and likely whoever wins will only be on the bag for two rounds, but it will be a great story to tell the kids one day. Oh, and if for some reason Bowditch were to win this week and punch his ticket to Carnoustie? Well, he will take whoever he picks with him.

Update: We have a winner. Bowditch has chosen Elias Francque. According to his tweet, Elias is visiting his grandparents farm in the area and has experience playing TPC Deere Run. He is also a caddie at his local country club and on the golf team so he’s got some experience hauling the bag.
