Phil Mickelson says he wouldn’t be surprised if Tiger Woods one-upped him with a win this week

Phil Mickelson appeared on the Dan Patrick show on Thursday morning to discuss his recent win at the WGC Mexico Championship, along with a few other things.

One of those things was the fact that Tiger is playing this week in the Valspar Championship and Lefty “wouldn’t be surprised if he went out this week and one-up[ped] me again.”

“We’ve become pretty close in recent years. … But he’s always one-upped me,” Mickelson said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he went out and won this weekend to one-up me again.”

Mickelson hadn’t won in four-plus years. His last win prior to the WGC Mexico Championship was the 2013 Open Championship.

So if we’re going off of Phil’s accomplishments and success at the age of 47, who is to say that Tiger can’t do the same once he gets 100% back in the groove?
