Golf YouTuber Grant Horvat, who has over 900k subscribers, teased that he had the biggest announcement of his career on Monday.
Horvat had Phil Mickelson on for a second time. Phil is clearly enjoying life away from the PGA Tour grind, but both he and Horvat showed up two hours ahead of their tee times which surprised Phil.
The rules…
Phil was out for blood. He brought two drivers like his 2006 Masters win setup. He arrived at the course at 5:30 and picked the pin placements, which Horvat didn’t know. He also had the course superintendent triple roll the greens making them similar to a major championship.
Give it a watch. I’m serious, if you have the time to watch the crap that’s on TV these days you have time to watch something better that is actually “growing the game”.
Horvat’s announcement didn’t come until today as they split the video into front-nine and back-nine, which appeared on Phil’s High Flyer’s YouTube channel.
You’ll have to watch to see who wins. No point in spoiling it.
The announcement though…
Phil and Grant will be teaming up and facing off against names like Dustin Johnson and John Daily.
Sidenote, I watch more YouTube than I do PGA Tour on Sundays unless the field includes a few big names.
