Rory, DJ, Rickie, Wolff To Compete In Charity Golf Event

This is not a drill folks, live, professional golf will soon be on our TVs again!

While we still wait for the details to be finalized for the Tiger/Phil match, the PGA Tour, along with NBC Sports and Sky Sports announced on Monday “TaylorMade Driving Relief Sponsored by UnitedHealth Group” will be held Sunday, May 17 at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida.

The charity event, a skins game benefiting COVID-19 relief efforts, will see Rory Mcllroy and Dustin Johnson square off against Rickie Folwer and Matthew Wolff.

UnitedHealth Group has put up the $3 million dollar purse that the players will be competing for with Rory & DJ playing for the American Nurses Foundation and Rickie & Wolff playing for the CDC Foundation. In addition, Farmers Insurance has pledged an additional $1 million for a birdies-and-eagle pool to benefit Off Their Plate, a charitable organization helping COVID-19 healthcare workers and impacted frontline shift employees.

The event will be broadcast worldwide on NBC, GOLF Channel, NBCSN, and Sky Sports as well as multiple digital platforms. In addition, per the Tour’s release, the event will follow “all guidelines, executive orders and mandates issued by the state of Florida, Palm Beach County and the city of Juno Beach.”
