VIDEO: PGA Tour will proceed without fans

PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan spoke to the media on Thursday during the Players Championship and announced that the PGA Tour will continue without fans.

What will happen to the Masters and PGA Championship if this continues longer than two to three weeks?

Monahan reiterated several times that “golf is an outdoor sport” and that will help prevent the spread, but I present you with this picture of the 17th at TPC Sawgrass surrounded by fans.

If you’ve ever been there and seen this in person, it is very close quarters on the weekend so the ‘outdoors’ theory doesn’t hold much weight.
