The Tour heads to Vegas this week for the Shriners Hospital for Children Open. Bryson DeChambeau is your defending champ and Phil is making his first trip to Sin City since 2005. Also, former UNLV great Adam Scott is making his tournament debut this week.
Here is where we stand after 1 week:

What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas. Unless you win the Shriners Open, then everyone knows about it.
After taking Phil last week just so I had an excuse to pimp his social media game, it is time to get serious this week in Sin City. That’s why I am rolling with Brooks Koepka.
I know, I know it’s not a major but hear me out.
We know that Brooks admittedly doesn’t really care if it’s not a major. We also know that Brooks loves nothing more than to prove people wrong and use that as extra motivation. That’s where this week’s event comes in.
This is Brooks’ first start of the new season. The last time we saw his name he was being snubbed on the Tour’s Player of the Year Vote (congrats Rory btw).
There is absolutely no doubt that Brooksie has been doing nothing but stewing over that snub since the day it was announced. Therefore, this week’s Tour stop is the perfect location for Brooks to remind people just how dominant he can be when he actually cares and wants to try.

Vegas baby! We are rolling the dice on rookie Scottie Scheffler to cash out on top this week at the Shriners Open and earn his first W on the PGA Tour.
The fall series is a breeding ground for producing young stud champs (see Cameron Champ) and Scheffler fits the bill.
The 23-year-old’s coming off a solid season on the Korn Ferry Tour (he literally won twice this year) which he led both the finals points list and the overall points, which is decent.
Plus he’s already notched a T7 and T16 in his first 2 tour starts and granted its still early, he’s 1st in strokes gained tee to green he’s 2nd in GIR, which is also decent.
Any guy who wins the Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year award is fine by us. Dude is going to be a stud on Tour. Let’s start this week. VEGAS!!!!
Well, I was slightly disappointed with my pick last week. Hideki didn’t even make the cut and that’s NOT how I wanted to start.
I should have gone with my initial gut and picked Bryson and at least had a shot.
So, this week, that’s exactly what I’m doing.
Bryson DeChambeau is your guy this week. DeChambeau has already shown that he’s playing well right now after a T13 last week at the Safeway Open, and he is the defending champ heading to Vegas.
I honestly can’t think of anyone other than him to pick this week that I would feel very comfortable with.
