Yesterday, I posted video of Bryson DeChambeau taking nearly 3 minutes to hit a 70 yard wedge at THE NORTHERN TRUST.
This morning an even more egregious video surfaced showing DeChambeau taking his sweet time over an 8-foot putt much to the dismay of his playing partners Justin Thomas and Tommy Fleetwood.

The looks on both Justin Thomas’ and Tommy Fleetwood’s faces show just how painful it is to play with DeChambeau.
This is indefensible. There is absolutely no reason for DeChambeau to take this long and check his green book three times. While many believe that removing the green books will solve this problem, guys like DeChambeau will indecisively circle their putts until they are forced to hit.

After the video hit Twitter, Eddie Pepperell, not one to mince his words, lit into DeChambeau.
Just look at Tommy and Justin, both looking completely bored. Slow players do this to their playing partners making the game less enjoyable. Problem is, the unaffected single minded twit in this instance, doesn’t care much for others.

When it’s as egregious as Bryson was last night, and if they’re already behind, then shot penalties should be handed out. Fines don’t mean anything to these guys. You’d only need to hand out a few penalties and things would improve quickly!

There needs to be an official behind the green that says Bryson you just took 2:20 to hit a 10 footer. Add 1 stroke. https://t.co/4mwL2x1gyk

Pepperell isn’t the only one who feels this way …
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!! @PGATOUR if you don’t do something about this, SHAME ON YOU!!! As a member, I’m OUTRAGED you can tolerate this. You talk about “protecting the field”, then protect it by penalizing/DQing this type of behavior!! ENOUGH!!!

No kidding. That is not okay @b_dechambeau. What in good hell was that?

This generation of tour players don’t police one another… Hey Bryson you get 30 sec … same as everyone else https://t.co/iODWvmbZoQ

Has DeChambeau finished yet today? Asking for a friend

All the “physicist” and “his caddy needs to be an aerospace engineer” stuff is an insult to actual physicists and aerospace engineers. They can do actual math and engineering, anyone with two eyes and/or two feet can read an 8-footer.

Can’t believe there are people who defend this guys pace of play and how many examples will it take for him to get penalty shots !! Total joke and feel sorry for his playing partners https://t.co/YRYSUWYgjK

Twitter was on fire with slow-play takes ranging from insults to apologies to his round three playing partner Dylan Frittelli.
Feel sorry for you @Dylan_Frittelli #slowplay

Thankfully that went in, saved everyone half an hour.

@Dylan_Frittelli u might want to buy one of these only £7.99 but it will b priceless during ur round pic.twitter.com/Xx2c83JvCO

12:15? Don't think you'll get round before it gets dark pal
— Matthew Booth (@mboothy9) August 10, 2019
Will you have enough daylight to complete your round?
— Andy Bower (@AndyBower9) August 10, 2019
Hope you are seeing the ENORMOUS outcry which you have created by your ridiculously slow pace of play. Totally disgusted by this although I highly respect your golfing ability. With your 1215 Tee time you should at least be finishing just before it gets dark. PLEASE change. ☹️☹️

My solution is to lose the green books and put players on a one minute clock. Why do players get only three minutes to find a lost ball but are allowed to do this on the green, fairway, rough, tee box (like J.B. did at The Open).
TAKE NOTE PGA TOUR BECAUSE THE REST OF US ARE TIRED OF THIS CRAP!
