Brendon Todd is not a fan of the attention given to Bryson DeChambeau

Bryson DeChambeau is either loved or hated by both fans and pros depending on who you ask. His weirdly innovative ways, along with his long-winded responses that involve way too much scientific talk, and his extremely slow play have rubbed many the wrong way.

One of the most prominent golfers and a three-time major champion, Brooks Koepka, complained about DeChambeau’s pace of play earlier this season. However, we haven’t heard many pro’s opinions on DeChambeau’s single length clubs.

Brendon Todd, who last won on the PGA Tour at the Byron Nelson Classic in 2014, ripped DeChambeau during a Twitter Q&A.

The Twitter user who asked the question did so in a condescending way with his use of the hashtags #Dechambeau #smarterthanmost, and Todd was having none of it.

Todd’s response?

“Because nobody has ever f’in done that until this nut came around. Let’s focus on the million guys who have won on Tour that don’t do this instead of the one who does.”

Todd’s got a point here. Bryson is hardly the first player to use single length irons, however, he has done so very successfully and already has five PGA Tour wins over the last three years.

No matter if you love or hate the guy, you have to admit that his methods are working for him.
