Matt Kuchar apologized for being a cheapskate regarding David Ortiz caddie situation

Matt Kuchar received plenty of taunting during the first round of the Genesis Open for being so cheap with David “El Tucan” Ortiz.

You can read the full story here.

Kuchar released the following statement after the first round, and it sounds very genuine because he realized exactly how insensitive and tone deaf his comments to Golf Channel’s Will Gray about the situation actually were.

Hopefully, Kuchar is able to put this behind him and move on. He’s not a bad guy, just one who doesn’t remember what it’s like to live without millions of dollars in the bank.
