Phil Mickelson Joins Twitter and His First Post Is Just What You Would Expect

For better or for worse, Twitter has become an integral part of the golf community.

Twitter has become a great place to follow the lives of your favorite golfer both on and off the course as well as get updates from tournaments. While many have embraced the social media outlet, there have been some pros that have stayed away.

One of the more popular golfers who had abstained from Twitter was Phil Mickelson. I say that sentence in the past tense because today, Phil joined Twitter and he did so in the most Phil way possible.

I can’t speak for everyone out there, but I am thrilled that one of our greatest national treasures is now on Twitter. I only hope that he doesn’t take the account seriously and continues to post more gifs and memes of him giving the patented thumbs up.
