Brandt Snedeker opens the Wyndham Championship with a 59

Brandt Snedeker became one of only 10 to shoot under 60 on the PGA Tour on Thursday at the Wyndham Championship. Snedeker went out in 32 and came home in 27 for an impressive 59.

While there were obviously plenty of birdies, and one bogey, his most memorable shot came on the par-4 sixth hole when he dunked it from the fairway for eagle and didn’t realize it until he was walking up to the green.

A 59 on the PGA Tour is no small feat. In fact, more men have walked on the moon (12) than have broken 60 on Tour.

It’s not surprising though considering Sneds is widely regarded as one of the best putters on Tour, so when everything else is clicking and he’s putting himself in good position…the rest is history.
