Patrick Reed refused to hit until a European Tour camera crew had moved away from him

Patrick Reed is no stranger to controversy. Earlier this year he was caught arguing with a rules official about how his name would have to be Jordan Spieth to get a better ruling.

Reed, who won the Masters in April, has full status on the European Tour this season and while playing in the Porsche European Open in Germany, he got into it with a camera crew.

At the beginning of the video, Reeds brother-in-law, aka his caddie, can be seen motioning at the camera crew. Reed, who was addressing his ball and about to swing, stepped away and his brother-in-law said to the crew “You’re rattling change in your pocket, that’s what I’m pointing at you for.”

The guy then responded, inaudibly, and Reed followed up with, “Well, thank you…stop.”

But he didn’t stop there, he decided he’d had enough and sent the guys packing, telling them, “He lost privileges by going like that with change.  Keep going. Ridiculous.”

Clearly, Reed had reason to be upset as he was completely across the fairway away from spectators with only his caddie, the microphone guy, camera guy, and the guy who walks with the camera guy and tells him where to be, next to him.

It must be a Ryder Cup year!
