By now, little surprises us to the way Phil Mickelson goes about playing the game of golf. Yet, every time he hits a crazy shot we continue to watch in amazement. It’s the power of Phil.
Phil’s recovery shot from the rocks Sunday at the 18th hole at Quail Hollow was no different. For those that might have missed it, or just simply want to watch it again, here it is:
With every crazy Phil shot usually comes with a very “Phil” response and yesterday was no exception. Golf Channel’s Rex Hoggard asked Phil about the shot after his round and his response was a thing of beauty.
Phil is 47 and presumably doesn’t have many years left in his PGA Tour career so I feel like we have to cherish each of these moments because we never know which one might finally be the last. If Golf Channel isn’t already lining up a show for Phil after he finally does retire where he sits there and just analyzes golf shots all day, well then what are we even doing here.
