Rory Mcllroy:
Before I get into my pick, I would just like to say this is probably my least favorite week of the year. We get far too much of the likes of Chris Berman and Saturday’s coverage has historically been the worst of the year with more am swing analysis than meaningful golf shots shown.
On that note though, my pick for the week is Rory Mcllroy. Rory is making his PGA Tour debut after a lengthy injury layoff. Despite this being his 2018 debut on the PGA Tour, Rory has already had about as good of a start to 2018 as one could imagine. He was a combined 40-under in his first two starts of the year on the European Tour, finishing T3 and 2nd respectively. The only thing missing was a win. He get’s that this week.

Jordan Spieth:
Please, PLEASE, keep the celebrity TV time to a minimum. No one is tuning in to see how Bill Murray is doing, they are, however, tuning in to see how Rory McIlroy is doing.
Spieth is coming off of a missed cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, but lets not get ahead of ourselves and take that to mean anything regarding his current form. Spieth won this event in 2017 and I really see no reason he can’t repeat and get his first win of the 2018 season.
