Waste Management Phoenix Open Picks

D Money

Rickie Fowler

While Dick Fowler was not on the case last week with his MC at the Farmers, he has still had a solid start to his 2017-2018 season. He’s got a couple top 5 finishes and a win at Tiger’s Bahamas event. Let’s also not forget about his recent history at this event. Sure, Hideki is the going for the three-peat this week, but let’s not forget that the last two years Rickie has had legitimate chances at the win on Sunday. Rickie buries the demons and finally gets the win in Pheonix, fending off Hideki down the stretch on Sunday.

Hideki Matsuyama

Hideki has finished in the top five in three of his last four events. Most recently he finished T4 at the Tournament of Champions and T12 at the Farmers Insurance Open. The course suits him and he’s won playoffs over Fowler and Simpson in back-to-back years. While the field is loaded with talent, Spieth, Rahm, Thomas, Fowler, I still think Hideki takes it home again.
